Dr. Wenhua DAI, Vice-Chairman of China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited (CSDC) was elected Chairman of Asia Pacific Central Securities Depository Group (ACG) on the unanimous endorsement of ACG members during the 23rd Annual General Meeting held on 11th September 2019 in Kathmandu, Nepal.

“I’m delighted to assume this role, and look forward to building upon the success of my predecessors to facilitate exchange and knowledge-sharing among members, support practical collaboration and promote the international profile of the group,” said Dr. DAI.

Established in 1997, ACG is the most important industry association for the Asia-Pacific post-trade community. With its 35 members covering all major market infrastructures in the region, the group has proven indispensable in facilitating exchange and cooperation, and promoting the implementation of international standards and best practices.

CSDC is a founding member of ACG and convener of the ACG Legal Task Force. As an active advocate for enhanced communication and collaboration of the regional post-trade community, Dr. DAI has been a long-time member of the ACG Executive Committee and played a key role in the establishment and development of the group.
